Hot Fuzz!

We went to see a premiere/preview of the new Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright/Nick Frost vehicle called 'Hot Fuzz'. For those of you who loved/hated Shaun of the Dead, you'll love/hate this one as well. (I fall in the former category)

I won't reveal any spoilers here, but rest assured the movie contains lots of good action, great humour and best of all, believable characters. That's one of the main things I like about this move. So many movies rely on exaggerated characters who are so stupid or blinkered or otherwise one-dimensional that they fade into the background compared to the story. But in this one they are just believable.

And the cast is stellar as well. No Oscar-nominations here (except maybe the editing), but when you've got Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton and Bill Bailey on the same screen, well... Do I need to add more? (And yes, again, big fan of the old Troll here :) )

Anyways, I haven't got anything more to say about this other than: go watch it.

Oh, and beware church spires. They can hurt. Lots.
